The New York Ska-Jazz Ensemble (NYSJE) is a powerhouse collective that seamlessly fuses the infectious rhythms of ska with the improvisational brilliance of jazz. Since originating the genre of “ska-jazz” in 1994, the group, led by founder Rocksteady Freddie, has been at the forefront of the global ska and jazz crossover, delivering high-energy performances and masterful musicianship.
