Why This Collaboration Matters | A Legacy Forged on Stage:

This collaboration  isn’t just a meeting of genres—it’s the continuation of a musical bond that’s been building for nearly two decades. Their history traces back to the legendary Wanee Music Festival, where the Trucks family and The Lee Boys became recurring collaborators and festival favorites. From late-night jams to main stage moments, their shared musical spirit was forged in real time, in front of thousands.

Now, they’re sharing the stage again, and bringing in the next generation with rising jam rock powerhouse The Fitzkee Brothers! The Fitzkee Brothers have been touring with Melody Trucks for the last 3 years and this year the band began working on their debut album!

Sacred Steel & Southern Soul:

The Lee Boys have spent over 20 years electrifying audiences with their joyful, gospel-infused sacred steelsound—bringing church-born steel guitar traditions to the forefront of American funk, jam, and soul. Their recordings have featured Southern rock royalty like Derek Trucks and Warren Haynes, further cementing the connection between the sacred steel and Allman Brothers legacies.

Carrying the Torch:

Melody Trucks, daughter of Butch Trucks, one of the founding drummers of the Allman Brothers Band, carries forward the groove-driven spirit of Southern rock. As a vocalist and percussionist, she brings a modern soul and deep rhythmic instinct that connects the past to the present in powerful, personal ways.

Introducing The Fitzkee Brothers:

The brothers have been called “Allman Brothers meets Foo Fighters.” Known for their tight rhythm section, high-energy originals, and funk-driven covers, they’ve toured with Melody Trucks, opened for Duane Betts, and shared stages with Melvin Seals, Ron Holloway, and members of the Allman, Grateful Dead, and Parliament Funkadelic Families. Their blend of rock, funk, and improvisational jams makes them a perfect match for this lineup—and an exciting draw for younger and legacy audiences alike. Their most recent release “Memphis” was recently added to Joe Bonamassa’s Top Shelf Americana Spotify playlist and “Lakesong” was added to the coveted “Modern Jam Band” spotify editorial playlist!
