Brooklyn darling, singer/songwriter, multi instrumentalist Sasha Dobson, who’s frequently known for her ongoing collaborations with Norah Jones is also the daughter of Bay Area jazz icons, Smith and Gail Dobson. Sasha is revered for her vocal abilities and astute knowledge in the jazz tradition, she was featured at age 12 at the Monterey jazz festival and moved to New York to peruse her career by age 17. She surprised the world with her debut album Modern Romance a body of collaborative originals and the beginning of her career as a guitarist and songwriter: she has written many songs with Norah Jones, Jesse Harris, B52 guitarist and film composer Pat Irwin (to name a few).

Dobson opened for Willie Nelson, Neil Young, and lead her own band as a feature at Farm Aid. She has also joined the stage with Wilco, Mavis Staples, Charles Bradley, Cat Power, Willie Nelson, Neil Young and has had numerous live appearances on Jimmy Fallon, Letterman, and Colbert. Sasha has also performed at the Newport Folk Fest, the Bridge School Benefit and the MusiCares person of the year gala for Neil Young, Bob Dylan and Dolly Parton

For the past two years Sasha has been on tour as Jones’s guitarist and backup vocalist and is taking time this year to support her forth coming album recorded at The Loft (Jeff Tweedy of Wilco, private recording studio).
