With deep ties to The Band and a musical style that blends rock ‘n’ roll, gospel, blues, and folk, this Woodstock, NY powerhouse brings decades of experience and soul to every performance.
Fronted by Professor Louie—vocalist, keyboardist, accordionist, and longtime collaborator with The Band—the group has released 18 acclaimed albums, including their 2025 release on Woodstock Records, Crowin’ Around, played on over 180 radio stations across the country.
The group continues to expand the boundaries of Americana and blues. Their dynamic shows feature crowd favorites from their original catalog, hits Louie co-produced with The Band (including “Atlantic City” and “Blind Willie McTell”), and songs steeped in the rich tradition of American roots music.
The Crowmatix lineup includes bassist Frank Campbell, guitarist Todd Mihan, and drummer Dan Hickey—a seasoned ensemble with heart, groove, and tight musical chemistry. Their live performances are known for their storytelling, warmth, and a vibrant sound that brings audiences to their feet.
