KJ defines herself as an “urban folk and jazz” artist, often stepping outside of that box to explore other influences. Her fine songwriting stands out in front at every performance, along with her smoky rich alto and stellar guitar playing. KJ has performed in Italy, Egypt, St. Barth, Nepal, Turkey, Germany, Switzerland and Alaska, and held a residency in NYC's The 55 Bar. Multiple award-winning songwriter, guitarist, vocalist and bandleader, Denhert, is powerful in voice, with lyrics full of intelligent insight, and her musicianship is impeccable. Her eclectic yet unified performances reach out to audiences without compromising her music and beliefs. She performs the unusual feat of being both highly individual and quite accessible.
