Jonny Rosch has been performing and recording as a vocalist, keyboardist, harmonica player, and songwriter for more than forty years. He also plays guitar. A consummate and highly respected New York City session musician, Jonny was the lead singer and frontman for the legendary Original Blues Brothers Band.

Jonny holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Music from Bennington College and has the distinction of being the first person in the school’s history to graduate with a specialized concentration in Electronic Music.

In addition to personal live performances at renowned venues such as the Apollo Theater in Harlem, Madison Square Garden, Radio City Music Hall, and the prestigious Carnegie Hall—where he was backed by the late Skitch Henderson and the New York Pops Orchestra—Jonny has graced the main stages of the New Orleans Jazz Festival (the year after Hurricane Katrina), Bonnaroo, Coachella, Red Rocks, and other major festivals and venues worldwide. He has toured extensively throughout Europe, Asia, Australia, South America, and Southeast Asia.

In addition to fronting the Original Blues Brothers Band, Jonny has recorded or performed with Joe Walsh, Cyndi Lauper, Phoebe Snow, Donald Fagen (Steely Dan), Bo Diddley, Lou Reed, Southside Johnny and the Asbury Jukes, Cornell Dupree, Tommy James and the Shondells, Joan Jett, Billy Squier, Carly Simon, Steve “The Colonel” Cropper, Eddie “Knock On Wood” Floyd, The James Gang, Alice Cooper, Richie Sambora (Bon Jovi), John Oates, Robert Randolph, Henry Butler, Paul Shaffer, Bernie Williams, Allen Toussaint, Danny “Kootch” Kortchmar, Orianthi Panagaras, Stuff, John Sebastian, Jonathan Edwards, and many others.

He has opened for legends including B.B. King, Paul Simon, Joe Walsh, The James Gang, Booker T. & the M.G.'s, Johnny Winter, and countless others. He was a touring band member with Bo Diddley, Cornell Dupree’s Soul Survivors, Phoebe Snow (as both keyboardist and musical director), Tommy James and the Shondells, and of course, the Original Blues Brothers Band.

For six years, Jonny served as both musical and creative director for business mogul James Dolan, CEO of Madison Square Garden, the New York Knicks, NY Rangers, NY Liberty, Radio City Music Hall, MSG Network, Cablevision, Optimum Online, and other holdings. He left in 2007 to continue touring Europe with the Blues Brothers Band.

Jonny now leads his own group, Jonny Rosch and Friends, which features members from Steely Dan, Bruce Springsteen’s E Street Band, the Late Night with David Letterman Band, the Saturday Night Live Band, the Max Weinberg 7 (Late Show with Conan O’Brien), Bob Dylan’s band, and Cyndi Lauper’s and Rod Stewart’s bands. With this band, he has served as musical director and supervisor for many awards shows and high-profile performances, including events at The White House, the Special Olympics, Rockefeller Center Concerts (Louis Vuitton Classic), and more.

For the past twenty-five years, he has owned and operated Cabin Fever Studios and the production company New York Professional Digital. Having recorded on countless album projects, Jonny’s work spans film scores, television, and radio. His national commercial clients include McDonald’s, Coca-Cola, Disney, HBO, Sony, Ford Motor Co., Subway, Cotton Inc., Nabisco, Home Depot, Kohl’s, Pizza Hut, Law & Order, The Sopranos, and many others.

Jonny is also the co-leader of two other bands, serving as keyboard player and lead vocalist for the Cropper/Rosch Project (with the legendary Steve “The Colonel” Cropper) and the Kortchmar/Rosch Project with Danny “Kootch” Kortchmar, featuring Shawn Pelton and Neil Jason.
