Gotham River
Gotham River is a Hudson valley band comprised of father son duo Jake and David Bernz and bass player Mark Murphy. They embody the heart and soul of Americana with songs old and new in the folk tradition. Jake has toured from California to New York. And has written about 2000 original songs. David was Pete Seeger's producer from the early 1990’s on and has been a life long folk singer in the Hudson valley for over 40 years. Together they weave folk music tales from the past and present.
Gotham River is a Beacon, NY-based father-and-son folk duo comprised of David Bernz and Jacob Bernz. They play songs from the Pete Seeger and Woody Guthrie catalog, which heavily influenced them as musicians. Their repertoire includes songs of social consciousness as well as original compositions in that vein.
