A sextet of our region's finest veteran Latin players, comes together to honor the music of Carlos Santana which shattered the barriers between rock and Latin music, across generations, introducing the world to the power and joy of Afro-Latin beats, forging a path for many Latin and fusion artists to follow.
From Woodstock’s 1969 earth-moving performance of Soul Sacrifice and Evil Ways, his work with John McLaughlin, to the esoterically beautiful Europa (Earth's Cry Heaven's Smile), Carlos Santana evolved before our eyes and ears. In 2000, the band won six Grammys in one night, followed by three Latin Grammys.
