This five piece ensemble - comprising the Hudson Valley's most unique rhythm section players - harvests elements from as many musical fields as they can emulate. A modern jazz ensemble whose focus is primarily composition, and secondarily on improvisation.
Whether delivering their own music, paying tribute to a timeless artist, or periodically hosting their "not-so-late-night talk show" TONGUE TALK, Common Tongue leaves a lasting impression on listeners, as genuine masters of their craft.
Individually and collectively, the members of Common Tongue have had the pleasure of playing with and supporting a multitude of artists throughout the Hudson Valley. Each member of the band is able share and play the music they are passionate about, as well as the music of the great artists that have been their inspirations.
