Reverend Jefferson, THE premier tribute to San Francisco's legendary Jefferson Airplane, who virtually defined the Haight-Ashbury community and the expanding revolutionary fervor of the times. The beautiful, irreverent and often caustic Grace Slick,urged you to "Feed your head"! Harmonies with bandmates Paul Kantner and Marty Balin became the benchmark of the Airplane sound The true voice of a generation.
Reverend Jefferson members, Lediger, Frye and Petry have been playing and recording with legends for years, as members of The Flying Jalapenos, a free-wheeling mélange of psychedelic roots, rock, Americana.
Joanne Lediger: Vocals
Vocalist, Joanne Lediger, (Joe Cocker, Dr. John, Vassar Clemmons, Jack Casady, Derek Trucks, Cornell Dupree and John Popper) has the skill to capture the intensity of Grace Slick at the height of her powers.
Rob Wolfson: Guitar
Wolfson, has performed in numerous bands, notably the powerful and innovative Joe Gallant & Illuminati Orchestra. During the heyday of the Wetlands Preserve Club NYC, Rob was asked to curate the Dead Center All-Stars, bringing together the best musicians from the Grateful Dead and Jam Band scenes.
Rob has shared the stage with Merle Saunders, Vassar Clements, Levon Helm and Hubert Sumlin, among others. He currently plays in the Dead Sage Blues Band with Michael Falzarano (Hot Tuna, New Riders of the Purple Sage).
David Frye: Guitar, Vocals
Guitarist/vocalist, David Frye, (Gil Parris, Bernie Williams, The Kennedys, Johnny Winter, Buddy Miles, Vernon Reid, Andre LaSalle and Honeyboy Edwards) has worked with Ms. Lediger for so long, their voices weave together effortlessly.
John Cassano: Bass
Cassano, a member of Reflections, the Jerry Garcia tribute band, studied with J.A.'s dazzling bassist, Jack Casady, and performed with J.A./ Hot Tuna guitarist, Jorma Kaukonen.
Scott Petry: Drums
Scott Petry of Cornell Dupree, Larry Coryell and The Flying Jalapenos, is a schooled, seasoned, deeply empathetic musician, using the drums with a symphonic approach, inspired by his orchestral experience.
