MiZ is a soulful, rock-Americana artist from central Pennsylvania whose music is influenced primarily by of Bob Dylan, Ryan Adams and The Cardinals,The Black Crowes, Ray LaMontagne, The Allman Brothers and Tony Rice. Their sound is directly impacted by the coal mining region of northeast Pennsylvania and the songs evoke the rustic tones and imagery you would expect from the region and it's cultural heritage. The singer / songwriter / guitarist Mike Mizwinski gives name to the band and his solo work and it is his heart and soul-- poured into the words and his guitar-- that drives it all forward, bouncing between the living memory of his childhood in the middle of nowhere PA and the New York City music scene that has become his second home.

Mike is know as an acoustic and electric guitar virtuoso who's catalogue of original material crosses over several genres. In the last year MiZ has opened for Bob Dylan, Derek Trucks Band, Kenny Wayne Shepherd, Blues Traveler, Shawn Colvin, Leon Russell, Railroad Earth and many more. He has been invited to sit in with artists such as Merl Saunders, Garth Hudson, Jackie Greene and Umphrey's McGee and has played venues like the Troubadour in LA, BB King's & Brooklyn Bowl NYC, and many more.
