Web Site: Dan Tepfer

Dan Tepfer has been called "brilliant" by the Boston Globe, a "remarkable musician" by the Washington Post, and "an intently modern pianist who is also drawn to the deeper currents of melody" by the New York Times. A former student of pianist Fred Hersch, his music often crosses stylistic boundaries. Joined here by bassist Thomas Morgan and drummer Colin Stranahan, two of the finest young musicians on the New York scene, he'll be presenting his own compositions as well as explorations of jazz standards and pop songs.
